Adopt a Refugee
Become involved in a refugee’s life by participating in ORAM’s Adopt a Refugee program.
We’ll match you with a vulnerable refugee who needs your help. With your adoptee’s authorization, you’ll receive an email update from ORAM whenever a significant development occurs in the case. We’ll notify you after the refugee has been interviewed by an adjudicator, and will keep you apprised of the results. You’ll know how your adoptee is faring during the long trek to safety.
We’ll also tell your refugee about the adoption and ask him or her to communicate with you by email directly. Many refugees will not be comfortable divulging their identity, giving out contact information or engaging others in this way. But for some of you, this will be a unique opportunity to engage directly with the individual you have sought to help.
Individual participation in ORAM’s Adopt a Refugee program requires a $500 minimum “Vanguard” level commitment. For more information, contact us.
